We encourage our families to make payment electronically via PAWS as we continue to work remotely.
Credit Cards
The College of New Jersey accepts: American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa. Convenience fee
Electronic Funds Transfer (Electronic Check)
The funds can be debited from a U.S. checking or savings bank account in U.S. dollars. Please check with your bank to ensure your account can receive a National Automated Clearing House (ACH) debit.
Checks drawn off of credit line accounts (such as money market checks, line of credits, credit card checks, home equity checks, etc. ) are not accepted.
If wishing to use funds from a 529 account, please be sure to work directly with the provider to make the payment to the college.
For a student to make an online payment:
- Go to the TCNJ TODAY webpage
- Click on PAWS
- Log into PAWS using your student login and password
- Click on Student Center
- Under Finance section, click on “Payments/Payment Plan Portal” and Click OK
- At the bottom right, click the “Make a Payment” button
- Select the “Tuition and Fees” box for a direct payment to TCNJ or select the Payment Plan box (if enrolled) to pay toward your payment plan
Note. I-pads and tablets are not compatible with this option. Please use a desktop or laptop computer.
In-Person/Mail
You may pay with cash (in-person only), check, or money order. Checks shall be made payable to The College of New Jersey. The student’s name and TCNJ PAWS ID number should appear on the check.
Please do not mail acceptance deposits to the lockbox as they should be mailed directly to The College of New Jersey, Office of Student Accounts, PO Box 7718, Ewing, NJ 08628-0718

** Note: Please do not request a stop payment from your bank on check payments as the automated process does not allow for these checks to be pulled from processing. This will result in a returned check fine being applied to the student account..**
Installment Payment Plan
The Transact Payment Plan is the only authorized payment plan offered by The College of New Jersey. The Transact Payment Plan allows you to pay your semester charges for tuition, fees, room, and board in manageable monthly installments.
– Enrollment for Students
Enrollment can be completed be completed online through PAWS by clicking “Payment/Payment Plan Portal” within your Student Center page under the Finance section. You will be directed to the e-Payment website where you may click on “View Payment Plan” option. Additionally, you may also contact customer support via phone (1-877-821-0625) for assistance with enrollment.
– Enrollment for Authorized Payers
You may enroll into a payment plan on behalf of your student by visiting https://commerce.cashnet.com/tcnjpay2. You may also contact customer support via phone (1-877-821-0625) for assistance with enrollment.
Based on the new payment platform, a student is only allowed one payment plan per term. If there will be another Authorized Payer, we have special plans available to accommodate these circumstances. Please contact our Payment Plan Administrator at 609-771-3145 or paymentplan@tcnj.edu to complete your additional plan enrollment.
International or Domestic Wire Transfers
Make a wire payment using clicking on “Payments/Payment Plan Portal” under the Finance tab in your PAWS Student Center. If your funds are originating from a country not provided, you may provide the following information to your banking institution for a wire transfer to be completed;
